Vintage Biche de Bere Clip Earrings c. Late '80s - Early '90s These fabulous 1980's vintage silver clip-on drop earrings are in absolutely perfect condition! The solid cast metal circles are a gleaming matte silver and textured. The earring design truly represents the cutting-edge, modernist style for which acclaimed French designer Nelly Biche de Bere is renowned. (See her biography below, if you're not familiar with this wonderful designer.) This pair of earrings was purchased at a Biche de Bere boutique in Paris in the late '80's or possibly early '90's. They measure 2-3/8" long and the top disc is about 1" in diameter (almost exactly the same size as a U.S. quarter coin). Each disc is quite thick and are connected with silver rings so they swing independently, giving the earrings nice graceful movement on the ears. As pictured, both earrings are marked on the back with the "Biche de Bere Paris" logo. Sorry, I don't know what kind of metal these are. The plating could possibly be precious silver but since I'm not sure, I am pricing these earrings simply as designer costume jewelry.
