Beautiful hand-carved wooden music box and serving dish. In German, Black Forest treen style. Carved from dark wood into a leaf shape with ornate base, standing on three ball feet: vine leaf with a cluster of grapes by the handle. Wind-up key on the bottom with ball sensor – when the tray is lifted, the sensor allows the music to play. Music box not working at present – hence very low price: I have looked inside and the winder keyhas become detached from the winding spring. Could be soldered back or simply replaced. Music cylinder and cogs themselves in sound condition. Wooden dish in very good condition indeed: any small marks, smudges, etc. are commensurate with age.
