VINTAGE JAPANESE SAMURAI WARRIOR ARMOR ~ CLOTHING SET IN LACQUERED WOOD BOX! Nice example...vintage Japanese Samurai Yoroi display Boy's Day armor garment ~ clothing set in it's original black lacquered wood box. Wood box has a bit of general minor age wear with one of the corner brass or tin ornaments needing reattachment as you can see in our posted photos. This set has been in storage for some time...the hanging embellishments are a bit wrinkled and could stand a bit of TLC and your exptertise to freshen it a bit. Main garment hangs on a wooden stand...head dress or helmet is separate and appears to be in fine condition with a tall lacquered wood center with toleware decoration. Additional pieces include a cloth apron with a round paper label on the back side and black lacquered toleware decorated boots with fancy embellishments. If the set had any additional pieces originally, they are no longer with the garment. Box measures in at 10 & 1/2" x 7 & 1/2" at the base of the box itself...stands 7" tall, with the lid measuring 11" x 8". The garmet measures about 11" tall exclusive of the headdress and stand.
