This piece of black memorabilia is a piece of Shearwater pottery. It measures about 4 1/4" tall. The folksy look of this piece is very appealing. A black man wearing blue overalls and a yellow shirt, leans over a large bag which is looped over his neck. The "bag" could be used as a small planter or filled with cotton. It has the classic look of Shearwater pieces, including the almond shaped eyes. "Shearwater" is crudely carved into the bottom. A striking piece of black Americana. Very good condition with no chips, cracks or other damage. U.S. shipping will be between $4.40 and $6.20 depending on zip code plus $2.20 insurance.
