Feather-My-NestW Collecting and Decorating Fluff meet!Item Description: If you are looking for a workhorse - easy and simple to use - no fuss - super heavy duty - then you may want to consider this Singer electric model 201. It has been fully serviced, cleaned, lubricated, new bobbin tire, new electric cord to the foot control, tested, and adjusted. It has all metal gears. This is a heavy duty domestic machine that will sew silk, uphostery fabric, and light leather.The serial number is AK687285. Made in 1951.It comes with a manual copy (not the one in the photo because it is for a different model). It comes with lots of accessories: ruffler, foot hemmer, adjustable hemmer, multiple slotted binder, edgestitcher, shirring gatr, zipper foot, screwdriver, 12 bobbins, scissors, pin cushion, new needles, and the buttonholer. I have shown my test pieces: 2 layers of silk fabric, 8 layers of cotton, 2 layers of leather, and 4 layers of leather. The motor never bogged down but just kept sewing smoothly and quietly. I am including a piece of fabric to get you going. This is all in very good condition. Ready for you to sit down and sew. This will fit a cabinet with the pegs that hold it, measuring 9 3/4" centers. The bed of the machine measures about 7" x 14 1/2". The service job of this machine is an $85 value so keep that in mind when comparing
