VINTAGE BOSSONS ENGLAND "LEMURS" #144 CHALKWARE HEAD, WITH ORIGINAL BOX! Dimensions : 9 1/2 inches tall x 8 1/2 inches wide. Condition : "LEMURS" IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, NO CHIPS OR CRACKS, ...NEVER USED.. Incised on back with "Bossons Collection England ". This comes in the original box. I will be listing a number of Bossons heads, all still in their original boxes, these were never hung or used, just stored away, so any damage was from storage only. Please view pictures for condition of the box, also it will be re-taped for shipping. Was created by William Henry Bossons (W.H.B) in 1946. He died in 1951. His son W. Ray Bossons (WRB) took over thebusiness/company & was one of the top sculptors. The first characterhead was issued by Bossons in 1958 & became their most popular line of collectibles. The business closed in 1996 and W. Ray died in 1999. Great figural collectible Bossons head!
