The green neckerchief is in good condition. So too is the leather string which is knotted and carries two wooden beads - it is old, but sound. I guess they both date back to around the 1940's, perhaps early 50's, but it is only a guess. They could be even earlier. They belonged to a gentleman, now deceased, who spent many years in the boy scout movement, both as a boy in the 1930's, and as an adult scout leader.
