Up for auction is a wonderful brass figural tape measure in the form of a chick with a worm in its mouth. I believe the tape measure was made in Germany in the 1930's. The brass is tarnished with some discoloration , but the tape measure is complete and original and pulls out easily and goes back in by winding the worm that is in the chick's mouth. The measure is just over 2" long and stands just under 1.5". A most desireable antique tape measure that is in remarkable condition for its age. Would make a wonderful addition to your collection or a wonderful gift for someone who collects sewing items!
