Up for your consideration we are proud to offer this grandiose Franz Hermle Brass Clock. An amazing piece of work in both the cast bronze/brass case and the finely crafted movement. This clock is running and keeps perfect time - Strikes once on the half hour and tolls on the hour. Superb Craftsmanship. Made in Germany. Fully stamped on the movement. Looks to be from 1970. Stands 24" (2 feet!) tall and measures 15" wide x 7-1/2" deep. Love birds and roses enhance the beauty of this most ornate clock. Franz Hermle is know for master clock making and has produced outstanding clocks that run trouble free for years. This clock will certainly be a family treasure for generations to come. This was inherated from a great aunt. Hasn't been run in years, as the key was missing - we didn't even know what is was or even if it worked - only that it was one of the most beautiful clocks we have ever seen. I did find a key (not the original) a few weeks ago - wound it - and it has been running strong and true. A little dusty on the outside, brass is bright and shiny. The movement is clean as a whistle. Missing the tiny screw that holds the hands on - does not effect the time keeping, but should be replaced.
