Brass Cannon on Solid Mahogany Base (Pair) Well Made Miniature Cannon On Wheeled Carriages Extremely Well Proportioned and Realistic Looking Models Nicely Turned Tapering Barrels and Well Fitted-out Carriages Heavy Pieces: Each Weighing Over 1-1/4 lbs. Barrel Measures 5-5/8" Long From Mouth to Large Ball Cascabel Carriage Measures 3-3/4" Long x 3-1/4" Wide x 2-1/8" Tall One Small Wood Piece Broken and Missing From Rear of One Carriage (See Photo #3) These are a pair of extremely well made model ship's cannon using solid, not cast, turned brass for the barrel and the wheels. All of the fittings seem to be solid brass as well since the only parts which react to my magnet are the nails that secure the trunion caps. The person from whom I bought these said that he knew the artist, a machinist from Australia, and that the models are post Korean Conflict, but pre Vietnam vintage (late 50's to mid 60's). Brass and wood are all in excellent condition with the exception of the missing piece noted and shown in the photograph. These two cannon display beautifully in any nautical collection or display. Thanks for stopping by and Good Luck ! SHIPPING POLICY (and other boring business stuff): Most all of the items I will be listing will ship in the USPS Priority Mail small, medium, or large boxes. I offer this shipping method ONLY unless
