This vintage Japanese tool made of bronze picked up at a recent dealers auction outside Kyoto . I will admit I'm not at all sure what its original purpose was. It could have been used for bonsai work as it has a very sharp pointed end as well as a 2 cm wide (7/8") sharp spade end. The knurled mid section falls into an easy grasp area as seen in the pictures. Any one out t have any more accurate ideas as to original use.????? please contact me. I have ten more. Still a very unusual and functional tool for many a craftsman. Measures approximately 7 1/8" inches overall (18 cm) . Old world craftsmanship for the new world craftsman. you'll love it........I guarantee it!
