vintage hand quilted quilt that is 72" x 64", it is in good shape and I found no damage to it at all. the backing is a brown flannel stripe with reds/wite and browns in it.The main part of the quilt is done by doing up the 1/2 square triangles, the fabic is a cotton blend sort of feels like a rayon blend, but I am not sure. the green fabric is along the lines of maybe a chennille type of sofa chair fabric from the 1950's or earlier. sort of reminds me of my grandmother house at that time(yep I'm that old). I think that it has a cotton batting inside, and there maybe another quilt inside, I didnd't look. the top part you see is sewn together on 3 sides, then turned inside out, hemmed stitched close at one end like a pillow. then she hand quilted it. it's either another quilt or cotton batting. This one does need some undusting done to it. It's not dirty or dusty, but I suggest you run a few minutes in the dryer on the AIR cycle to remove any loose partials. And it is heavy it weighs in at over 5 pounds closer to 6 pounds with out a box.
