Vintage Buff & Buff Surveyors Transit No Reserve! Still in its original wood box - that is bit beat-up but intact, this is a vintage Buff & Buff Surveyors Transit. The Brass label on the transit reads Buff & Buff Mfg. Co. 19167 Boston. On the opposite side stamped into the black metal is, "Kentucky Highway No. 198". The transit comes with its lens cover and the bubble level still contains fluid and the glass is not broken. Lens are in good shape as well. Transit measures approximately 18 1/2" long and is quite heavy. Great instrument for someone doing survey work. My Policies: Insurance is optional, but always recommended.Tax is not required unless you live in RI.Another auction from Fruit Hill Antiques.
