Up for auction is a BRASS ENGLISH BULLSEYE OIL READING LAMP-MORLEY AND OBER- Dated 1820.Recently purchased at an estate auction.It is missing the two magnifying lenses which are supposed to be attached to each side of the oil tank.I understand there is also supposed to be a chain with a metal piece to put out the flame.I believe this to be a reproduction because of the 1820 mark on the back but still has a great patina and old vintage look.On one side of the oil holding cylinder it reads BULLS EYE READING LAMP-MORLEY AND OBER-LONDON 1820.Has a very nice scrolled design around the circumference of the oil tank.There is a bit of the wick sticking out of the top.Although incomplete it still is a very collectible piece. Measures about 9 and 1/2 inches tall.
