Vintage Burgundy Gossen Tippa Portable Typewriter Vintage Burgundy Gossen Tippa Portable Typewriter · Nice vintage typewriter · I believe it’s circa 1955. · The flap inside the lid of the case shows Tippa-B. I wasn’t able to find any reference to what the B may have meant, just that it has been observed. · Works very well – the ribbon is very dry. · Looks great, and shows some wear. · Case is in very good to excellent condition as well. · Made in Western Germany · Yes, there is a vertical support behind the platen, I just forgot to raise it. · While there is a key showing, it doesn’t fit the lock. I realized that after the shoot as well. · Has anyone else noticed that when we used these amazing mechanical wonders there was no such thing as carpal tunnel syndrome – we built up strength and actually used our fingers to do something rather than wave them over feather touch buttons.
