Up for bid is an early RARE 1975 Flower Seed planting clock. This clock was sold from the Burpee Seed Company. Comes with original setting tool (or "key") taped to the back panel. The setting tool is used for setting the three features of this clock: the planting calendar setting, the moon dial setting, and the frost date setting. Setting the early and late frost settings, the clock recommends when to start planting a variety of vegetable seeds for your garden. The settings can be customized to your location in the continental United States. The map on the back shows the time of first and last frost in the US. The back of the clock is labeled "Designed and manufactured by Mechtronics Corporation, Stamford, Connecticut." The clock is 15 1/8 inches tall, 10 1/4 inches wide, and 3 7/8 inches deep. The case is made of pine with a pressed board back and plexi glass cover over the dial. The clock is electric and runs perfectly. This clock is in amazing shape for 33 years old. Wood frame has a few scuffs. T is a slight wood dent/chip on the lower right-hand front side, when the clock took a fall from a California earthquake. I highlighted the area in a photo with a red box, but as you can see, it is hardly noticeable. Electric cord is good condition. Clock keeps perfect time. It can be used as a mantel clock or hang it on the wall, A read more
