September 1921 - long, flowing palazzo type 'trousers' with a bolero top, a time when women's pajamas look like evening wear! Glamour at its best, even when wearing these for "lounging" or "beach wear"! The cover shows Butterick pattern 3554, price 50 cents, a Delineator Style including "New Deltor", three piece pajamas for women and misses. Outer cover shows size as Bust 38, inside shows it also covers size 44. Measurements shown for 38 are : Bust 38, hip 41, width across back 14 3/4, finished length trousers 38. For size 44, measurements are bust 44, hip 47 1/2, width across back 16 3/4, length trousers 38. I have carefully checked pieces and all are included. I do not believe that this has ever been used as it seems to have the original folds. Two pieces have slipped down in the envelope and were no longer smooth and flat. Pieces are unprinted with pattern number perforated on tissue. Envelope has minor tears and is very soft. Some dark smears across the back (looks like carbon paper smears) but completely legible. September 1921 date is printed in on instruction sheet. Please bear with me as I do not sew and do not know patterns- I came across this at a thrift store and loved the flow of the skirt, so I bought it!
