Vintage 1960's special edition Lone Ranger Knife. The first Lone Ranger knives were made in the late 1940's threw the 1950's. This one was a special edition made in the 1960's. It was made for the Rail City Museum in Sandy Pond N.Y. to be sold as souvenirs in the gift shop. Only about 200 of these were made for sale at the gift shop. This makes these knives very rare!!! Rail City closed in the mid 1970's. The contents of the museum were sold at auction. A quantity of these knives were purchased at this auction. I was lucky enough to purchase some of these knives from that auction buyer. They very from the original 1950's Lone Ranger as they have a spear blade and not a clip type blade. Also the reverse handle is hot stamped "Rail City Museum" Sandy Pond N.Y . Handles are red celluloid. Knives are in almost mint condition. No packaging.
