These are Capodimonte Vases that are very old and beautiful. One side has women with baskets of grapes on their heads and the other side has them being emptied into a vat. I do not know exactly how old they are. They were taken to the Antiques Roadshow in Las Vegas on July 22, 2000 for an appraisal. They were appraised as being before the turn of the century in the late 1800's. The markings on the bottom show Capodimonte, "Made in Italy" JSNNX and #1156. I do not know enough about Capodimonte to know what they mean. There looks like a lion's head on each side at the top, see picture. The colors are true to the pictures, creamy background with pinks, green browns and peach colors. Size of the tallest vase is 13 1/2 inches from top tip to bottom, width is 10 inches from the edge of handle to the edge of next handle. The shorter one measures 9 inches from top tip to bottom, width is 12 inches from tip of handle to edge of other side. I did not put a liquid in them to see how much they held I did not want to put anything in them. LOOK-LOOK NEW PRICE DECREASE FOR A CHRISTMAS SPECIAL.!!
