VINTAGE CARVED CLEAR LUCITE HORSE HEAD BROOCH, COLORED EARS, MANE & PLUMES This is a concave clear lucite brooch. It is carved on the reverse side and the eye is painted on the reverse side. The black nose is painted on the front side. The brooch was difficult to photograph and get the true colors so I took the last picture through my kitchen window, which shows the true color of the plumes. It has a plastic glued on fastener with the old C type closure, which works well. Perhaps what looks like small bubbles on the plumes may actually be the clear glue showing through from the back? The brooch measures about 2 3/4" high x 2 1/4" wide at the nose level. Other than a few very short, light scratches, it is in very good condition.
