This is a set of two vintage or antique lamp bases. I know that they are quite old but am uncertain just how old. They are carved marble or alabaster from Italy. They are urn shaped with carved flowers, I think that they are roses, and leaves around the tops.These will have to be rewired as the wiring was old and decrepit so I removed it. Also the light bulb sockets will probally have to be replaced but they are the type that screw on to the threaded metal rod that runs up through the lamps and I will be leaving them on the lamps to ship because they help hold the lamps securely together. The lamps are 15 1/2" tall measuring just the marble part. With the socket they are 18 1/2" tall. One lamp is in very nice condition with some nice marbling. It does not have any chips or cracks. It does have some rounding of the corners on the smaller square at the base and some tiny fleabites and t The second lamp is also in nice condition but does have some problems. It has 3 leaves that have the ends chipped off, it also has a vertical crack that runs from top to bottom of the carved roses and leaves section (about 2 1/2" long) and a very tight crack in the urn part.
