This auction is for one vintage Case XX Sharktooth single blade folding knife with the original Case XX black leather sheath. The length of the closed knife is 5 inches. The length of the blade is 4 inches. The tang stamp on the front of the blade says "Case XX, Stainless U.S.A." with 5 dots. This tang stamp would indicate that this knife was manufactured in 1975. The front of the blade is also marked with "Shark Tooth" with a picture of a shark between Shark and Tooth. The tang stamp on the back of the blade says "P197 L SSP." This blade is in excellent condition with no signs of being used, sharpened, or carried. This knife features brass bolsters and pins and a dark hardwood handle. The brass bolsters do show tarnish which is very typical with brass of this age that has not been polished. It is nothing that a good polishing won't take care of. The left-hand bolster on the front of the knife also features the Case oval shield marked on the bolster. The dark hardwood handle is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or scuffs. This knife also comes with the original Case XX black leather sheath. The sheath is also in excellent condition.
