VINTAGE CAST IRON BOSTON BULL DOG TERRIER BOOKENDS KNOWN AS 'STANDING TALL' CIRCA 1925 is a pair of wonderful Vintage Cast Iron Boston Bull Terrier Bookends from my collection. These great cast iron bookends have a bronzed aged patina to them and intricate detailing. They are in Excellent Condition especially considering their age which is 83 years old. Measuring 5 inches in width and 6 inches in height, these vintage bookends are loaded with outstanding terrier characteristics and expression. These vintage dogs are quite substantial weighing almost 4 1/2 pounds. These Bostons are pictured in "The Collectors Encyclopedia of Bookends" by Kuritsky and DeCosta with the name "Standing Tall", Circa 1925. The Encyclopedia lists these dog bookends as having a Rarity of "5" - "RARE - seen only a few times per year in online sales. Seen at shows and antique shops rarely". They are guaranteed to be old and original! Whether you are a dog lover, a collector of classic canine dog art, cast iron collector, this wonderful pair of Cast Iron Boston Bull Terrier Bookends would make an excellent addition to your collection.
