Vintage Cast Iron Jolly Black Man Money Box/Bank; Starkie; 1960s; VGC, GWO, h=6" Starkie Style Jolly Black man Money Bank. Once known as Starkie's Jolly N***er Mechanical bank. Not an original but one of the cast iron replicas, c1960. In good condition with all paintwork in a good state. Working well. Rubber stopper/bung fits neatly in the base. The original bank was made of aluminium and was patented in 1920 by Robert Eastwood Starkie.
