This is two old advertising items in original condition. They have a few light dings and they need a clean / dust but they are otherwise good survivors. It is a Pair of Kendella Umbrella Advertsing Weather Houses which were made by Chad Valley (1920's - 1930's I think) Kendella was an umbrella and coat maker in London They are made from wood which is painted to show the detail ofthe buildings. They feature male and female china figures who move forward to denote wet or dry weather. I cannot see any damage to the figures but again they would benefit from a light clean. One house has a small chip to the roof line as shown but other otherwise just have light signs of age. Both houses have Kendella paper labels on the back which have aged quite a bit but you can read most of the detail. They both measure approx 7 inches tall by 6 inches wide. I cannot see why the houses would not work if correctly balanced and perhaps had a bit of attention. Please use the pictures to assess their condition.
