Welcome to Marie's Vintage Perfumes. This store is a collection of vintage perfume bottles from the estate of Marie-Louise Fredyma, my mother who passed away in 2010 after nearly 70 years in the antique business. Marie's perfumes were a special place in her collection of antiques and vintage items and are now offered for sale as part of her estate. Description: Vintage Chanel No. 5 (1924) Perfume Bottle & Box. Bottle is the original 1924 bottle with round corners and new stopper design. Bottle labeled "No 5 Chanel Paris". Bottom of Bottle stamped "Chanel" and has paper label "Size 9 0.275 FL OZ". Bottle is sealed (unopened) and has 2/3 full amount of original perfume. Bottle has original paper instructions on removal of stopper. Box is complete and labeled "No 5 Chanel Paris" on front. Top of box is stamped "Chanel" and bottom is stamped "Size 9". Background Chanel: Gabrielle Chanel born in Saumur, France on the 18th August 1883, brought up in an orphanage. She established a fashion shop in Deauville France. She then moves the shop to 31 rue Cambon, Paris in 1918. The perfume of Chanel No. 5 was internationally popular with women of high society in particular. “La Société des Parfums Chanel" was founded in 1924 to produce and sell perfumes and beauty products. Reportedly, the signature scent was a result of her belief in superstitions. read more
