Vintage Lidded Charleston Gullah Sweetgrass Basket A beautiful vintage lidded Charleston Gullah sweetgrass basket with tall handle. The lid is attached to the back of the basket and locks in the front. This basket could be used as a purse or tote, or as a sewing storage basket. Made by a skilled weaver from Charleston, S.C., it is made from sweetgrass, pine needles and palmetto.Excellent vintage condition. I could find no breaks. Approximately 13" tall (from base to top of handle) x 7 1/2" diameter.Listed with no reserve.Please don't hesitate with any questions you may have.
