's a beautiful Victorian Era children's glass Punch Bowl set that depicts the "Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf" Nursery Rhyme. These items were acquired at auction and I was told that they are originals. All of these pieces are clear glass. The punch bowl shows images of Red Riding Hood, the Cottage, the Wolf, and the Wolf in grandma's clothing. It's a nice solid piece of glass covered with beautiful images. The set also includes 5 cups all of which show the cottage, Red Riding Hood and the Wolf. T are also 5 wire hangers. The punch bowl stands 3 2/8" tall and is 4 5/8" wide across the top. The cups are 1 2/8" high and measure 2 1/8" wide through the cup and handle. Condition: T are several long, fine lines visible in the bottom of the punch bowl. I had another punch bowl just like this one that also had these same lines. They're not cracks, but appear to be part of the glass--see photo. T are also several fine lines to either side of the tree next to the cottage, again I think they are part of the glass. T is also a small white object imbedded in the glass above the wolf's front legs. I can't feel it so it must be inside the glass. Several of the cups have fine lines in them as well--see photos. One of these two also has a fine curved line that can't be felt. And one cup has an extra bit of glass protruding out above the handle. read more
