Antique Oriental CarvedBAISHI HORN SHRIMP SCULPTUREUnderwater Scene on a Carved Horn BaseThis superb, very detailed piece of art is expertly and completely hand carved, including the antennas, out of buffalo horn by a master carver in various hues of browns and beiges. It depicts an underwater scene with two shrimp/prawns in the seaweed. The sculpture is carved to give the appearance of flowing movement. The base is a dark piece of carved horn made to look like swirls in the sandy ocean floor.The sculpture measures approximately 5-1/4" high x 4-1/2" wide x 2-1/8" deep.Excellent condition.
