Vintage Art Deco Westinghouse Vacuum Coffee Maker This is a great looking coffee maker made by Westinghouse probably from the 50's. The only thing missing is the cord that you can buy. The inside is very clean and appears to be unused. The handle and the knob on the top are bakelite. To operate, water is placed in the bottom section and the coffee in the top and when it brews it pushes the water to the top w the coffee brews. When the heat is turned off, the coffee is drawn back into the bottom. This is very heavy and weighs over 4 pounds. The bottom of the pot reads "Automatic Coffee Maker Cat No CM-81.1000W.115V.A.C.Only Westinghouse Mansfield Ohio Made in USA Do not immerse in water". It has 3 black feet that is sits on. Sorry I don't have the instructions but I have part of the box. This pot is in great shape and hardly looks used. For a better description, read the "Vacuum Coffee Makers" at /indcof.html. Thanks for looking.
