HISTORY Alfred Dunhill Ltd. is a British luxury goods manufacturer founded in the late 1800s to early 1900s. The company grew out of a saddle manufactory, expanding into motor car accessories, including the “Windshield Pipe”, a pipe designed to be smoked while driving an automobile. Dunhill began producing lighters around 1923 and quickly gained a reputation as a maker of innovative and high-quality lighters. Dunhill began producing butane lighters around 1958. DESCRIPTION This is a vintage circa 1970s Dunhill Rollagas lighter finished in diamond head silverplate. The lighter came out of an estate in Maryville, Tennessee. The lighter measures about 2.5” tall by 0.875” wide by .0375” thick. CONDITION This item appears to be in GOOD CONDITION . The lighter does not spark, and it likely doesn't have any butane. It needs to be cleaned and serviced. There are a few small dents as shown in the photographs. SHIPPING I package items carefully and ship using the service stated in the auction listing.
