This is an original version of the Cold Steel Outdoorsman Becoming hard to find in this condition, these are valued by Cold Steel Collectors. Blade is drop point style with jimping on upper edge and has a satin finish. Not sure what steel was used on these, the newer version of this model uses VG-1 San Mai III. Knife is 11" long Blade is 3/16" thick and 5-3/4" long Blade etched “OUTDOORSMAN BY COLD STEEL INC.,VENTURA,CA” one one side and “MADE IN JAPAN” ON OTHER SIDE Stainless guard and pommel Textured black rubber handle (including guard & pommel) is 5" long Original belt sheath is heavy black leather with velcro strap. Sheath is embossed with “JAPAN” on back side Knife appears to be unused. It has been carefully honed to a shaving sharp edge. A fine example of a discontinued Cold Steel fixed blade. I will be selling a portion of my large collection of quality discontinued fixed blades and folders in the coming weeks.
