Up for bid is an early issue of the Colibri Beam Sensor butane lighter. This high-tech cigarette lighter is in excellent cosmetic and working condition, and includes the original case and owners manual. The original spare battery (which is dead), is in the case along with the original owners manual. This lighter works just fine, as the battery must have been replaced in the recent past. If you are not familar with the Beam Sensor lighter, you can learn everything you want to know on the Internet. The new 'Beam Sensors" have a list price of $100.00, and I have not seen them offered for less than $40.00. Because of the appearance of the blue cloth-covered case, and the obsolete type designation (Sanyo CR1240E) of the dead spare battery, I am certain that this lighter is one of the early ones sold. This lighter has a polished brass (or gold?) finish, inset with panels of black and a material similar to "birds eye maple". My photos do not do justice to this classy finish. The Beam Sensor lighter is no longer offered in this pattern, and in my opinion, the new versions being manufactured cannot compare with it.
