This collectible Cordey box (#6053) is about 5 wide and 7 inches long. It stands 6 inches tall to the top of the beautiful flowers. The flowers on top are very detailed and have good color. It is in near perfect condition with no chips or cracks or wear. This is probably a one of a kind as there is no variation mark on the bottom, just the Cordey name and the number 6053, no signature which is rare. It was probably crafted in the late 1940's or early 1950's but we are not certain. It is 7" X 5" X 6" tall and weighs almost 3 pounds. THEY MADE VASES, LAMPS, FIGURINES, LIFE-LIKE ANIMALS AND SIMILAR WARES THAT WERE SOLD BOTH NATIONWIDE AS WELL AS ABROAD.CORDEY'S WORKS WERE OFTEN CHARACTERIZED BY THEIR OLD-WORLD CHARM, WITH DELICATE FLORAL APPLICATIONS, RUFFLES AND ROCCO SCROLLS. SOMETIMES REAL LACE WAS EVEN DIPPED IN LIQUIFIED CLAY TO ADD A 3-DIMENSIONAL EFFECT.ON RARE OCCASIONS SOME ITEMS WERE NOT SIGNED OR NUMBERED. BASIC WARES WERE CAST WITH BOTH NUMBERS AND THE "CORDEY" SIGNATURE. THE MOLDED PIECES WERE INDIVIDUALLY
