Offered for your consideration is a scarce vintage Commando Cutlery Intl. hollow-handle survival knife. This knife was made in the 1980's and was made by the same firm that made similar knives for Gutmann Cutlery Co., Parker, Valor, and several other U.S. importers. These were mid-range knives at the time, although they offered excellent quality and performance for the price. These knives are not even in the same category as the Chinese and Pakistani imports. For the price, this piece offers an exceptional value and is a very nicely-made knife. While the Gutmann, Parker, and Valor knives can still be found with some searching, the Commando marked knives are seldom seen and very difficult to find.These knives are quite scarce and difficult to find. These knives were made in Japan and given the exceptional quality they exhibit, I would guess that they were made in Seki City. These were not made as novelty or gimick-type survival knives and they feature "all business" designs and sturdy construction. They were built to perform and offer excellent versatility and capabilities.The knife has not been used, carried, or sharpened and remains in near perfect condition with just a bit of light storage wear.
