Wonderful old cookie jar that I am told is from the late 1950's This has bright colours with no paint/glaze chipping except for a flea paint loss on his bottom lip. (you really can't see it, but I want to point out anything I see on exam). Bright Green hat and collar. Very clean on inside. Mild crazing on some spots on the bottom. Written on Bottom in Black marker/or pen; To and From and date 1960. It was probably given as a christmas or birthday gift. Very superficial flea bites near bottom rim. You can't really see them, (3) but I can so I will indicate w At very bottom edge t appears to be a flea bite or paint loss on green. On the underside is in great condition, but again, I have spotted a flea bite. The inside rim of the hat is intact. No cracks or repairs that I see. The inside rim of the jar feels a little rough from the pottery maker in a couple areas. I find a superficial flea bite on the topside rim. (these are more visible with the magnifing glass. He stands approx 12" tall. Approx 9" wide from ear to ear. Bottom base and opening are approx 5 x 6. SUPER item, hard to find these nice hand made pieces and more. MADE IN USA.
