Coach Myers was the former longtime Cowboys assistant and the Texas A&M coach who replaced Paul “Bear” Bryant. Jim Myers coached for the Cowboys longer than anyone but Tom Landry, who hired Myers. Myers was a part of the staff during Dallas’ wins in Super Bowl VI after the 1971 season and Super Bowl XII after the 1977 season. For auction is a travel bag that belonged to Coach Myers. The bag is made of heavy navy blue vinyl and has "Dallas Cowboys Staff" embroidered on the front in white. The embroidery has some fray and has signs of age and wear. Please see pics for detail. The bag also includes a heavy duty luggage tag that says Dallas Cowboys 1971 World Champions - with the Braniff Airlines logo. The other side of the tag says Cowboys Jim Myers. The bag also has a brass luggage tag which says Rio Grande Valley Jim Myers FCA Open...the reverse has his address handwritten. The bag is approximately 14" tall, 18" wide and 10" deep This is a great piece of history for anyone who collects Dallas Cowboys Memorabilia. The bag was purchased from the estate of the late Coach Jim Myers. Please check back for other items from Coach Myers estate to be listed soon. If you have any questions please message me.
