Vintage Danish Modern Sewing Stand Table Mid Century This listing for a most unusual small table or sewing stand, with Danish modern/mid-century styling, useful as an end table or occasional table, and the inside compartment can always be for remote controls or PS2 or Wii controls, it doesn't have to be used for sewing!!! T's no denying it's proper "era" with it's three tapered legs and triangular shaped top. The interior is covered in red satin, with fringe around the upper lining edge and a self pocket on the inside top. I purchased the stand at one of the many European shipment/container sales that I regularly attend. The stand has a beautiful light oak patina, with very very nice visible wood grain and constructed of oak and oak veneer, all of which is in very good condition. The stand is 16 ½" tall and 17" at the widest point. The interior box compartment is 6" deep and 13 ½" front to back, 13 ½" wide side to wide side. As mentioned, the table or stand is in very good condition for it's age, structurally sound, no breaks or repairs, with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches and other imperfections. The interior red satin lining is very clean, without rips, torn spots or soiled areas, very unusual in a stand this age!!
