WOW...This is another great "ANTIQUE" bicycle -find that I located this week, a vintage: "DAYTON/HUFFMAN" 26" Balloon tire bicycle, straight out of a Maine Barn!! This bike was found by the new owners of a Maine farm, tucked away in the barn loft. I brought it home, hosed it off and put it up for auction! 's the details: 26" Dayton /Huffman Mfg. Co. Ohio... Bicycle, black -painted frame with a "tank" mounted under the top bar. It has the 2 front fork supports that are bolted to the front handlebar area. The Tank has a PUSH BUTTON mounted on the left-side, probably a switch for a headlight, which would have been mounted on the front fender(the light is missing). I didn't see any serial number on the frame, looked under the bottom bracket area, with no luck. (maybe it is somew else?) . The bike has both the front/rear fenders mounted on it. The bike is missing the chain, and the right pedal. It has a chrome chain guard(which is rusted in spots). It has a "NEW DEPARTURE TYPE D" rear hub with a coaster brake(not sure if it works?), and "NEW DEPARTURE" Front Hub. Both front/rear tires are flattened. The front tire is a: ALLSTATE SAFETY TREAD 26 X 2.125" with no tube... it has some dryrotting on the sides, it "may" hold air?? The rear tire is a: DAVIS DELUXE, 26 X 2.125" with a tube.. same cracking on the sidewall areas...don't know if
