DESCRIPTION: I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U.S. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OFFERED. I’m offering today a Beautiful Vintage Depression Green Cookie Jar with Lid with Handpainted Flowers on side of jar. This is another one of my special pieces from my collection I've owned over these 40 years of collecting antique glassware. This is a gorgeous Depression Green Cookie Jar with hand painted flowers on the side. I think these are either poppies or dogwood flowers. They sort of look the same to me. This is a nice size cookie jar and I never could find myself using the jar. It was too beautiful and I was always afraid my son would pull it off the counter and would accidentally break it. Sadly, my son passed away so no need to hang on to these things any longer. Therefore, since I've owned this lovely piece it has remained in my most prestigious bow-front china cabinet and been on display. If I could only bake those cookies for my boy, I would let him open this lid up as many times as he wanted. The beautiful depression green shimmers under the black light as presented in the photos above indicating uranium glass from the depression era. The depression green glass has ribbing running up and down as does the matching lid. The lid has a rim on the inside of it which holds the lid securely in place on top of the cookie jar. It does have a teeny tiny flea bite, which I suppose has always been there. I never knew it was there till I ran my hand around the rim. It's teeny tiny, but will come that way to you. I know these are most difficult to find; for this is the only one I've run across in my journeys. It's perfect for flour or sugar as well. Nice large size which looks beautiful in the kitchen. My hope is if you have a little one, you will bake those cookies and let him or her enjoy the jar and not display it like I did. SIZE: This Vintage Depression Green Cookie Jar stands approximately 9-1/2" tall with lid in place by 5-1/4" across. The interior measures approximately 7" deep.....lots of cookies will go in there. CONDITION: The cookie jar is free of chips, cracks or breaks. The lid has a teeny tiny flea bite on the interior rim. Flowers show very little wear.
