This is a Vintage Covered Bean Pot Bowl by Desert Sands Pottery. The pot is marked on the bottom "Desert Sands Pottery - Boulder City, Nev.". It has a nice colorful earthtones swirls design inside and out. Although I am not a complete expert on Desert Sands Pottery, I would say that the pot is in pretty good to fairly pretty good vintage condition. It does have some bit of dirt, some film, and some gunk spots/areas (needs cleaning). T is some minor scratches and scuffs along the bottom which I would consider typical wear. T are two good sized chips along the bowl rim. One chip is slightly bit larger than the size of a dime and the other is half the size of a dime. But these chips are more on the inside and not noticeable from the outside (not that noticeable unless you lift up the lid and look more closely at the rim of the bowl). Plus the two chips kind of blend in with the colorful swirl design . T are some blackish spots/spotting on the inside of the pot - maybe dirt or burn spots? The pot looks handmade. Because it looks handmade, it hard to tell what are all the flaws and what were just formed when the pot was made. For example, t are some brownish abrasion spots and small pot marks/crevices on the top lid (maybe came this way? formed when pot was made?).
