Vintage Dexter 5287 Heavy Meat Cleaver Knife 7-1/4" Carbon Blade With Wooden Handles/Scales Nice lightly used vintage DEXTER meat cleaver with wooden handle/scales firmly mounted to the full steel shank of the cleaver via 3 large BRASS rivets (see pics). The cutting edge on this cleaver is still 100% factory ground, in other words the edge has never been sharpened after it left the factory floor years ago. The spine of the cleaver does have some "HAMMER" marks on it near the end (see pics). Some very fine superficial fine cracks in the one hickory handle scale that reads DEXTER along with some small chips and nicks in the wood on that same handle scale (see close-up pics of handle). SUPER CLEAR and DEEP "DEXTER" makers mark on the blade of the cleaver (see pics). The cleaver weighs in at 2 pounds 2.0 oz. The blade is 7-1/4" long. And the total length of the cleaver is about 13-1/4" long. If you are a collector, or user of vintage Cleavers, you will not be disappointed in this one.PICTURES TELL THE STORY..
