This is the lid for an individual coffee pot or teapot. The original base is shown in the photos below but was so horribly damaged that it had to be discarded. You're bidding ONLY on the LID.The lid measures approximately 2 1/4 inches from side-to-side and about 2 1/4 inches tall to the top of the knob. The flange -- the lip on the underside that fits into the base -- measures approximately 1 3/4 inches from one outside edge to the other not including the little tab on one side. The lid is made of porcelain with underglaze floral decoration and gold trim. Any spots in the photos are just camera flash glare; the glaze and coloring are smooth and even.The lid is not marked. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, etc. There is no scratching or surface wear.
