Offering a fine old Dunhill Shell Briar billiard with a unique and delicate silver band.(see picture). The pipe is a Gr.4 in size and is 5-7/8" x 1-3/4". The old Algerian briar is outstanding. Stamping on the smooth flat bottom of the shank is hard to read, but with my 10X lupe I am able to read the Pat. No. 417574/34 which dates this pipe from somew between 1952 and 1954. I can not see a suffix after after the D in England. Thee are a couple of small issues with this pipe. A previous owner was careless in reaming the bowl and it is a tiny bit out of round (bless his heart!). The stem has oxidized a little, but this can easily be buffed out. Also, t are some tooth marks on the lip These are not major issues and have no effect on the smoking quality of this Dunhill. I have owned the pipe for about 6 years and only English blends have been smoked in it. T is no reserve on the sale. Buyer pays $8.00 shipping in the US. Foreign shipping costs are based on location.
