VINTAGE DUTCH NETHERLANDS DOLL marked "TWENTE" This is a vintage Dutch Girl Doll with stand and case. She is old because she was my grandmothers but thats about all I know about her. She comes with a plastic case, needs cleaning. She is approx. 7" tall. I haven't undressed her because I don't want to break her. I do know that her arms, head and legs are attached with rubber bands from the inside. Her body seems to be made of a soft plastic and her arms and head, a harder plastic. Arms, legs and head move. Her eyes blink. She is wearing traditional Dutch dress with apron, hat and necklace. She is carrying her knitting with needles (really cute detail). She has a wooden stand that has "Twente" on it. I googled "Twente" and it says that it is a non-administrative region in the Netherlands. Her shoes look to be carved out of wood. She is in excellent condition for her age as far as I can see except for it appears she has black painted on stockings and some of that paint is missing. Not noticeable when her shoes are on.
