DESCRIPTION: This is a candy container Easter egg from the early 1900’s. It depicts a rabbit’s head (the Easter Bunny) on each side. It is printed “Germany” inside. It comes apart in 2 sections, and still has a string loop attached to the top that was used to hang it up as a decoration on a tree or string. MATERIALS: Paper DIMENSIONS: Measures about 5 inches long, and 3-1/4 inches wide. CONDITION: Overall in GOOD, DISPLAYABLE CONDITION. The egg fits tightly together. There are some scuffs and wear, but nothing dramatic. There is a little of the edge decoration missing from the outside edges. This is a nice old egg that will be a great addition to your Easter holiday decorations, or candy container collection. FYI: Our pictures are taken under bright incandescent camera lighting or using a flash that sometimes fades out the colors or makes them appear brighter. This also helps to show all distinguishing features and possible flaws on the item. Most of our antiques and collectibles have much darker, deeper, richer colors than appear in some of our photos, especially reds that tend to turn orange in appearance.
