Up for your consideration is a beautiful Japanese style pagoda lantern which may be displayed as hanging fixture or post mounted. Lantern holds regular tea light candles. Made of solid cast iron; weighing approx. 8 pounds, this is a very heavy piece! Approximately 6" wide and 11 1/2" tall. I cannot give you the exact year of make but would guess no later than 1930, as when electric and indoor plumbing started to became available. However, I suspect it was made much earlier. There are a few minor chips to this paint but do not run any deeper. D oor is in working condition, swinging open and shut freely. This piece is very exciting to me and consider it rare as I've only been able to locate one other in the years I've had mine. For those who love a good mystery this would be the piece for you, as there are two clues given on inside of this lantern into discovering its make and read more
