TITLE : Vintage EARLY MOTORCYCLE MODEL The REITWAGEN 1885 DAIMLER - MAYBACH For RESTORATION ( Handlebars and Footrests need to be attached !!) SIZE : Height - 5ins. ( 13cms. ) Length - 8.5ins. ( 24cms. ) DESCRIPTION : The Reitwagen was designed and built by the German inventors Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in Bad Cannstatt , near Stuttgart , in 1885. It was the first petroleum -powered vehicle, running on a light gasolene . The German name Reitwagen means "riding car". Daimler created this machine solely as a testbed to prove that his Grandfather Clock engine could work in a vehicle. This model is very detailed, it is made from wood and metal. CONDITION : It has been used and has some wear marks. NOTE !! - The Handle Bars and Footrests are not connected to Motorbike and need to be attached. Please see My Photographs!
