VINTAGE Early Nr Mint CONWAY STEWART UNIVERSAL 470M FOUNTAIN PEN - Box / Inst Red & Black Vulcanite - Fine Nib Restored Outstanding This early version Conway Stewart Universal 470M fountain pen was manufactured in the UK around the mid 1930's. In outstanding near mint condition, must have sat in its box all its life. Red and black mottled vulcanite (hard rubber) Fully restored / serviced. Measures 5 1/4 inches. Nib. Original and correct nib marked - Conway Stewart -14ct Gold - 5 (hidden by section) , heart shaped breather, writes a fine. Barrel. Super imprint - The Universal Pen - Conway Stewart London - No 470 M (mottled). Early gold filled flange lever with Conway logo. Completely free of scratches, dents, dings or bite marks. Cap. Manufactured without clip or cap band. Everything in again in top condition completely free of scratches, dents, dings or bite marks or any other imperfections. With a great surface shine . The whole pen has a superb surface condition. Comes in very clean box with instructions / advert. Restoration. The pen has been disassembled ultra sonically cleaned reassembled with a new sac, hand polished and write tested. Overall.
