This is a vintage and cute hand made and hand painted paper mache Easter Bunny & Egg Candy Container. Both the bunny and egg are mounted on a paper mache base with the top side painted green. The rich brown and tan Bunny stands over 6" high including tip of ears. The red egg is about 2" tall with an opening at the top where all candy would go. There are no noted makers marks. It could possibly be from Germany or Japan from the late 1940's to early 1960's era, but not 100%. There is still a nice finish on egg and bunny, but light paint rubbing noted on both. Surface rubbing noted on bunny's paws and along top opening of egg. The paper mache base is slightly raised on the side where egg is located. A fun and colorful piece to add to your collection.
